Wedgwood England Lustre Porcelain Imperial Bowl, circa 1920. Exterior of bowl decorated with the Nizami pattern Z5485. Nizami, titled after the first Persian poem by Khamse. A scarce, perhaps unique interior consistent with Nizami-inspired examples originating from 12th century Persian illustrations. Depicting three phoenix within a hexagon, the borders ornately decorated in arabesque foliage. Interior edge with typical wellington border in blue and green with gilt designs, in typical Nizami themed feature. Marked Wedgwood England, with no apparent pattern number to the underside.
