Newmark, Marilyn (American 1928-2013) patinated bronze sculpture titled "Bad Hair Day". The sculpture depicts the head of a horse, mounted to a wood base. Plaque with the title of the sculpture to the front. Signed by the artist witih "AP" for artist proof, dated 2002. Born in New York, Marilyn Newmark is a horse sculptor, including racehorses and equestrian pieces. she is known for her ability to capture details. in 1971, she won the Anna Hyatt Huntington Award and in 1972, her equestrian sculpture, "Hacking House", was selected for the Madison Square Garden Trophy.
