Lareuse, Jean (French, 1925) Oil painting portrait of woman with braided hair. Signed Lareuse (top left). Application of paint fillings. Born in French Guiana, Africa, of Catalan parents in 1926, Lareuse has dedicated part of his life to his art. He began painting at the age of thirteen., He studied in the south of France and then at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. His first individual exhibition, was very opportunely, in the Galerie Ariel, Paris in 1948 and the second, also in Paris, in the Galerie Drouant-David, in 1952.
Condition: Painting in perfect condition, some more noticeable in the back of the restoration. Frame in perfect condition with small dents, shavings, yellowing of the fabric.
Measurements: approx. 20" x 14" (28" x 22" with frame).
